Out for a walk the other day, camera in hand, and at the local park, I noticed this mother and her kids rock hopping in the creek. I saw her husband and tried to keep him out of the photo since he was taking pictures, too. Little did I notice his shadow, camera in hand, until I took a look at my photos! I think this is pretty funny, and I certainly doubt I would have ever succeeded if I had tried!

Sometimes tweaking a photo can make something look a bit better than it does or more interesting. Here I played with various post production software and rather like the balmy look I got. Given the chilly winds we are having today, I think it was a good choice. As well, this just might make a good painting.
I really do like trees! I admit to a leaning toward deciduous hardwoods, but when I saw this shadow projected onto the building, I realized that one of the things I enjoy about palm trees is just their crazy (to me) appearance. This shadow looks like me on a bad hair day, but for the palm, it is nice and tidy.
Nikon FM3a, 50mm f1.2, and Tri-X. And more to come!
A field of yellow flowers, green grass, and shadows under the glaring sun. Too much color so into black-and-whitishness!
What do you do when you are waiting for your doctor? I play solitaire on my phone, and I take pictures and edit them. Better than being bored!
A tree, a sunny day, a canyon, a 1937 folding Welta Weltur camera, a colored filter, 120 film shot in6x4.5 film, Ilford film, a Schneider Kreuznach Xenar 2.8 80mm lens. Such a delight to get back from the lab (even if I have to do a bit of cleaning up in LR)!
If you look closely, you will see there is blur in the image. I finally figured out that the way I was pressing the exposure button was the fault. I did it too quickly, and the result was a sort of little jerk. Motion and blur. That is why some pictures from this roll are sharper and others softer. Interesting how you have to really think about things differently depending on the camera you are using.
