Another image using Fuji Velvia 100 taken in March. Clouds are not “normal” in the dry areas where I live, so are very much appreciated by yours truly!
On a sunny day, the water looks sooooo inviting, especially at low tide with a flat, sandy beach. Of course, the water is icy cold, so back onto the shore!
Many of the older piers along the Southern California coast have either fallen away, or been converted to places to buy a taco or cast for shore fish. This is a newer, working pier, designed for the pickup and transport of workers from the oil rigs in the Santa Barbara Channel.
