Sycamores are wonderful trees to tell you autumn is here! Their leaves, large and pointy, change with the season. In summer, they are green, and with the change in seasons, the leaves become gold and orange and brown, mottled in color, transparent and brilliant against the sunlight.
The Olympus Trip 35 can be an amazing little camera – as can UltraMax film. Admittedly, I pushed the colors a bit as backlighting can be tricky. This was taken last June on an early morning walk in the neighborhood.
I am going through my pictures, and looking at them in color, trying to determine if they might be good in black and white. Not easy, but it is a way to train the eye to see what could work. Maybe I am getting better at it because I looked at this one and saw potential right away.
